Lucinda Holt AKA Peacock Social took over our social media channels last week. Wow what an amazing job she did. Our engagement was up, our followers increased and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with her, I learned so much.
Thank you Lucinda for doing this with us it was a blast!
I can highly recommend Lucinda, she is professional, friendly and all round fantastic at what she does.
As part of our project together I interviewed Lucinda about Peacock Social……..
Here's what we found out when we delved a bit deeper into the world of Lucinda Holt.....
Society1: When did you start your business and what do you do?
Lucinda: I am a Social Media & Marketing Consultant and I started my company, Peacock Social last Autumn. My company name is inspired by my neighbour who has 4 peacocks. They often strut their stuff (and crap!) in our garden. Be bold like a peacock and let me help you #SpreadYourWings
Society1: What’s your story?
Lucinda: I worked in Media Planning, Buying and Sales for over 15 years working with brands such as Apple, Wrigley’s, Amex, P&G and Nestlé. Eventually I felt like a change from media agency life and wanted to work flexibly and for myself. Therefore, I upskilled with a company called Digital Mums and I am now a fully qualified CPD certified Social Media Manager.
Society1: What inspires / drives you
Lucinda: Preston inspires me. I started working with Etc Urban (a neighbour of Society 1) last summer and feel so lucky to be part of an exciting regeneration project in Preston. I feel passionate about making positive change and jumped at the chance to be involved. There is so much positivity for Preston at the moment and this needs to be celebrated.
Society1: What are you working on at the moment?
Lucinda: I have worked with various clients helping with social media management, social media training and strategy. I have carved out a niche in the property sector and will soon be working with another regeneration Property Developer in Stockport. I would love to run Social Media workshops – I have just been so busy with other stuff. Workshops is my goal for 2019. Watch this space!
Society1: What’s the big Dream?
Lucinda: I am true to my Piscean nature and often have my head in the clouds! My current dream is to set up my own Social Media Agency. At the moment, I am a one woman show freelancing with various clients. However, I do miss the buzz of working with a team and would love to expand.
Society1: Why did you choose to become a member at Society1?
Lucinda: One of my clients, Etc Urban is building 18 loft apartments on Guildhall Street. Society 1 is less than a minute walk away and it suited me to do my freelance work close to the building project. Also my school friend, Chris Hunter recommended I pop down to a Society 1 Open Day. I took his advice (thanks, Chris!) and met with Cat and Brendan. I loved the vibe at Society 1 and joined the next day. I am more productive at Society 1 – it beats sitting at home looking at a never-ending pile of washing. I like the social engagement too, Stefan is a great desk buddy.
Now to the real you.......
Society1: Are you a hunter or a gatherer
Lucinda: Hunter, I am always on the lookout for new things.
Society1: What’s in your packed lunch?
Lucinda: I am a reasonably healthy eater, but chocolate is my vice! In my first graduate job, they nicknamed me ‘Lion bar Lucinda’ as every day at 3pm, I would reach for a Lion bar.
Society1: How do you like to relax?
Lucinda: This is a good question as I find it hard to relax. I love swimming and thankfully I find it relaxing. I manage to switch off and it helps clears my mind. Also, this might sound sad, but I can’t check my phone in the pool.
Society1: If you were to choose a super power, what would you choose?
Lucinda: To fly high in the sky.
Society1: Beach holiday / City Break?
Lucinda: A beach holiday. I love the feeling of sand between my toes and the soothing sound of the sea. I lived in Sydney for 8 years and have fond memories of living a 5-minute walk from Bondi Beach.
Society1: Money or kudos?
Lucinda: Kudos, money doesn’t buy you happiness and all that.
Society1: Are you a bathroom singer?
Lucinda: No, I have a terrible singing voice. I would probably scare the peacocks away!
Society1: If you were an animal what would you be, what animal most represent you?
Lucinda: A peacock, of course! Be bold and stand out from the crowd #SpreadYourWings
Society1: Who’s your inspiration?
Lucinda: my Dad always told me that life isn’t a dress rehearsal. I always try and give things my all.
Society1: If you want to treat yours what do you do/have/buy?
Lucinda: A walk in Cuerden Valley. After years of living in London, I really appreciate the green and fresh air of our lovely Lancashire. Failing this, a Lion bar!
Society1: You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why?
Lucinda: Blue – channelling my inner peacock.
Thank you Lucinda for choosing Society1. We love having you here. You are one cool lady.
